I love playing with NerdBox Stuff. My wife says I am ‘NerdBox-Pro’ but that is debatable.
Just been having a play with an Internet Speed Test tool as I am looking for an excuse to ditch Telstra. Telstra keep changing the rules and the what is being billed to me, and, as usual, it results in a net dollar benefit to them at an equivalent net dollar disadvantage to me. I know Telstra are a business and ‘need to turn a profit’ in order to pay 10 of millions in bonuses to their CEO but, when you consider what is available on the internet service market in Australia at the moment, you would think that their logic is “50% of something is better than a 100% of nothing”…. Figure it out.

EDIT 29/6/2010
It would appear that my internet speed has increased right after some serious complaining to Telstra. I am now on a new contract, for another 24 months so they have got me there I guess, but I did get on to the TIO, The Telecommunications Ombidsmun for those people reading from overseas of Oz. That is a big deal for what it’s worth, and Telstra definatly dosen’t want the TIO asking them with a please explain about your unhappy customer. So, to cut a long story short, my net speed now looks like this.
