How To Switch Off The Mind
What happens to ‘peace of mind’ when you just can’t seem to ‘switch off’ the mind?
It is well known to most people that a person cannot conquer the mind by fighting against. Rather, it is easier to overcome the minds activities by becoming indifferent to it. In this technique a person doesn’t try to suppress the flow of thoughts or memories that keep flowing in to their mind, instead, let them flow in and appear but do not respond to them. Imagine thoughts as a film in front of your eyes, slowly passing you by scene by scene. Just acknowledge these thoughts as you would whilst mindlessly watching a film in the cinema.
